She has dedicated the last seven years of her career at Rackspace Technology, where she plays a key role in developing and delivering Professional Services offerings for customers across all market sectors. Wendy received the prestigious Women In Tech Excellence Award in the IT Leader of the Year category in 2024.
An advocate for sustainability, Wendy champions eco-friendly practices both within her organisation and in her personal life. Her commitment to environmental responsibility is evident in her leadership of the nomination of Rackspace's FAIR program into the SustainableIT.org Responsible AI Impact Awards. Under her guidance, the program was honoured as a winner in the Commercial category.
Wendy actively engages in SustainableIT.org's Responsible AI Working Group for UN Engagement, which seeks to establish responsible AI frameworks and principles with the objective of endorsement by the United Nations, potentially yielding positive global impacts.

Paving the way to Sustainable and Responsible AI
Join us on our sustainability journey at Rackspace, where we transformed our formative sustainability commitments into actionable steps, resulting in measurable progress towards our CO2 emission reduction goals. We’ll discuss how implementing appropriate governance —embedding sustainability within the organisation from the top down—enabled us to prioritise sustainability initiatives across the organisation. Additionally, we will explore how these efforts informed our approach to AI, under the FAIR banner, including our Sustainable and Responsible AI Principles, which ensure that AI adoption is symbiotic, secure and sustainable by design for our internal operations and our customers.
