Simon is the global CTO for the Private Cloud business unit within Rackspace Technology™ and his role includes the responsibility for the pre-sales hybrid technical capability.  His goal is to ensure Rackspace has the best architecture and engineering capability able to offer unbiased advice to customers with respect to sustainable hybrid cloud adoption, AI and opinionated workload placement and modernization.​

Simon is focused on providing pragmatic solutions to deliver sustainable business value through digital transformation including core elements such as compliance, resilience and the deployment of private AI capability. A key part of the role is the translation of business objectives into technical solutions in a language a business owner can clearly understand.​

Within Rackspace, Simon champions the drive for the company to become more sustainable across everyday activities not just Information Technology. This includes reducing waste, recycling, upcycling and improving efficiency for both internal and customer consumption. Of particular note was the facilitation of a recent donation to the Turing Trust of some 1500+ devices for re-use in education in Africa.
